Hello Everyone!!
Welcome to Kreimers Birthday Blog Hop!! If you came from Time2Create, you are in the right place. If you happened to stumble upon this blog hop, be sure to go back to Kreimer's blog and celebrate from the beginning. This is a 2 day blog hop, so be sure to check back tomorrow for more birthday fun and a second change for some blog candy.
For today's hop post, I made a simple card. I am also entering this in My Pink Stamper's "yummy" challenge. I loved this sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up for quite some time, and I finally got to use it. I have LOTS of ideas for this stamp set, but this is what came out first. It is pretty simple, but cute enough to give away and still feel proud of it. This is also the first time I used flocking powder. I used white flocking powder for the whipped cream part of the scoop to give it some texture. Let's just say, I had fun...and this is not the last time I will be using flocking powder.
Now onto the blog candy. Today, I am giving away the "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" stamp set from PinkbyDesign. These stamps are amazing, super cute, and the perfect birthday gift!! All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite birthday memory. I will be picking the winner Monday afternoon. Remember, you do not have to be a follower of my blog, but followers are always appreciated.
Now, hop on over to TX Scrapper's blog to see some more birthday fun!! Don't forget to stop back tomorrow and see what other birthday creations we come up with.
Happy Crafting,
Lauren

Love this card. I got to see Eric Clapton in concert on my Birthday. He was in St. Louis the day of my birthday. My husband had bought tickets and kept it secret until the day.

That is a deliciously cute card. I love the stamp sentiment. Birthdays are always fun to celebrate and my favorite was on a cruise. While touring Barbados my DH and friends had fun singing Happy Birthday to me in the streets :)

I love your card - it is very pretty. I have became a follower. My best birhtday memory is when I was just a small girl and my brother and his wife drove around 300 miles to come and be with me for my birthday. They brought me a very nice jewelry box and a couple of other things for my special day. I guess becaue I was so young the memory of that birthday always stayed with me.

Really cute card. My favorite birthday memory is coming home from a trip with my sister on one of my birthdays that ended in 0 to find a sports car in my garage with a big red bow on it! I always wanted a sports car that carried only two people and my DH got it for me. It was a big 0 birthday!

What a sweet card Lauren - no pun intended :) I have never tried flocking - it scares me! I have had a lot of birthdays - favorite memory is a hard one. Two years ago I got to go on a little mini painting vacation alone for my birthday - may not sound great to be away from my family on my birthday, but at 44 birthdays are not such an exciting thing anyway and I seldom get to spend a weekend painting so it was a lovely memory :)
ReplyDeleteMy greatest vacations are at the beach. I love the ocean. Along with that, Disney World is a favorite for me. I took my six granchildren in 2007 and would love to go back. Nice card
ReplyDeleteWhat a really pretty and fun card. I like the flocking (never tried it but want to) it adds the perfect detail. Also, the sentiment is so cute! My favorite Birthday memory was a trip to the beach with my family. I am a new follower and like your blog. AJ - queenofmynest(at)gmail(dot)com
